Artist statement

Mijn werk begint altijd vanuit een persoonlijke bron. Inspiratie komt uit mijn eigen leven en emoties. Vanuit die basis vertel ik een diepgaand en persoonlijk verhaal. Ik geloof echter dat mijn ervaringen niet uniek zijn en dat deze gevoelens universeel gedeeld worden. Met mijn werk wil ik anderen inspireren om hun eigen diepste gevoelens te herkennen en te omarmen. Mijn missie is om gevoeligheid een plek te geven in de wereld en daarmee zachtheid tegenover hardheid te zetten.

My work always starts from a personal source. Inspiration comes from my own life and emotions. From that foundation, I tell a profound and personal story. However, I believe that my experiences are not unique and that these feelings are universally shared. With my work, I aim to inspire others to recognize and embrace their own deepest emotions. My mission is to give sensitivity a place in the world, offering softness in contrast to hardness.
